Laura Sant is a designer and illustrator who specializes in food and drink illustration for editorial and brand projects, plus art for prints, gifts, greeting cards, and more.
Hi, I’m Laura.
I’m a multidisciplinary artist and designer with an affinity for all things cooking, restaurants, and cocktail culture. I’ve spent my career pursuing work that combines food, writing, and visual art: first as an art director at an advertising agency; then as a pastry cook; an editor at Saveur magazine; and finally as a freelance writer, editor, and illustrator for food and travel titles.
I now focus exclusively on illustration work, most of it related to food. You'll also find lots of cats; irreverent, often feminist humor; and designs that pay homage to the cities I’ve lived and worked in over the years, including Richmond, Chicago, and New York City.
My illustrations have appeared in magazines and on websites like Saveur, Departures, Travel & Leisure, and Liquor.com, and have been featured on prints, greeting cards, apparel, and homewares.
These days, you can find me in Richmond, Virginia, where I live and work with my husband, my son, three cats, and an occasional litter of foster kittens.
